I discovered Watermark Art Center when my piece, Release, was part of the “Earth Matters” exhibit through Surface Design Association in 2020. I knew once I walked in the door I wanted to show my work in this beautiful space. I hung (Re)Collect in the summer of 2024 and was given another chance to showcase this body of work in a new way. Participants asked poignant questions during the artist talk, engaged with the different pieces and went on to overfill the pegboards for I Collect during the run of the show. In July, thousands of art lovers passed through the space during the annual Art Festival and in August, the Third Coast Chamber Collective played music in the space amongst the artwork.
