Verse

This project was inspired by Pablo Neruda's “Odes.” Each ode pays tribute to a common object - an onion, a spoon. On the page, the poems appear as long strings of lines with only a few words per line. This gives them a physicality, like a dangling vine or a rope swing.

These photographic pieces employ some common poetic forms. Sonnets with a body and a turn. A haiku with the twist. Free verse.
